42-year-old Ogden man arrested after lighting house fire and assault on a police officers

Ogden, Utah – A 42-year-old man is in jail after starting a house fire and kicking officers down a flight of stairs in Ogden.

Adam Partridge was arrested by the Ogden City Police Department on May 27.

Last week Ogden Fire crews were called out to a reported house fire at 692 N. Harrison Blvd. When they arrived on scene, they find out the fire to be serious enough to warrant entry into the property.

Crews said they located two fires inside the bedroom and in the downstairs basement. Both appeared to be human-caused.

During the investigation, officials find Partridge outside of the home’s garage. Officers advised him he was under arrest but he ran back into the house.

According to an arrest affidavit, Partridge refused to stop and ran up a flight of stairs. While officers tried to detain him, Partridge was able to kick two of them down the stairs and spat on another.

Later After Partridge was arrested and taken into custody, police said they found several unspent bullet casings in the house and saw a bullet hole in the living room window. Suspected bullet holes were also found in the master bedroom mattress.

The officers also found a phone outside the house, in the grass, with three bullet holes in it.

A blowtorch was discovered outside the basement door.

According to police report Adam Partridge was arrested on suspicion of felony discharge of firearm, aggravated arson, interference with police and three counts of assault on a police officer.
