Koshi, the beloved clouded leopard of Living Planet Aquarium, dies

Draper, Utah – Koshi, the cherished clouded leopard at the Loveland Living Planet Aquarium, died at the age of ten.
“We regret to inform you of the passing of Koshi, our cherished 10-year-old clouded leopard,” the aquarium said in a statement on Saturday. Koshi recently received a diagnosis of sudden-onset diabetes. After receiving supportive treatment for a few days, he appeared to be improving, but the illness eventually took its toll, and he tragically died.
According to the statement, Koshi received the best treatment available from veterinary and animal care specialists, “ensuring his comfort every step of the way.”
According to the statement, “Koshi was a truly special part of our Aquarium family, and both our staff and guests will deeply miss his presence.” “We appreciate your support in honoring his life and the happiness he brought to so many.”
Clouded leopards, according to the Smithsonian’s National Zoo & Conservation Biology Institute, have big, agile paws with unique footpads for grasping trees. They are said to have longer canine teeth than any other wild cat species, with their length proportional to the size of their head.
They are supposed to cross the gap between little and big cats because they are smaller than many big cats. According to the institution, they are indigenous to Bangladesh, Nepal, eastern India, Sumatra, Borneo, southern China, and formerly Taiwan via Indochina.
Because of a distinct bone structure in their neck, clouded leopards are unable to purr or roar. According to reports, their pelts are the most widely available on the black market.
