SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – NFL Communications announced that the state of Utah ranked second in the country for the most players drafted per capita in the 2021 NFL Draft.
The league released their data on the draft on Tuesday, May 4.
The 2021 NFL Draft took place from April 29-May 1.
Only Louisiana had more players drafted per capita than the state of Utah during the three days of selections.
Five of the players drafted came from the BYU football program.
Two of the players, Jay Tufele and Dax Milne, played prep football at Bingham High School. Tufele was drafted in the third round, while Milne was taken in the seventh round.
The two Miners helped Bingham tie for the second-most picks from a single high school during the NFL Draft.
