The name of teen victim in Taylorsville homicide released

Taylorsville, Utah — The name of the 15-year-old boy who was found killed in Taylorsville Wednesday released.
According to the Police report Ivan Nickolas “Nick” Vetecnik was discovered death in a cargo trailer Wednesday afternoon.
Police say Vetecnik did live nearby , he did not live at the home. The cargo trailer was parked in the backyard of a home.
Officers took a 17-year-old person of interest into custody on Wednesday night. Police did not say whether there was a relationship between the two teens.
Police said the death is being investigated as a homicide and the cause of Vetecnik’s death is still not released.
