2 men hospitalized after shooting at Salt Lake City boxing gym
SALT LAKE CITY — Two men were hospitalized after a shooting at a boxing gym in Salt Lake City early Sunday morning, police said.
Around 3:25 a.m., police were called to respond to a shooting at State Street Boxing Gym, located at 854 S. State Street, according to Salt Lake City Police Lt. Steve Wooldridge.
When police arrived, they discovered an 18-year-old man and a 32-year-old man who both had gunshot wounds, Wooldridge said. The victims were transferred to a local hospital, he said.
Shell casings were found at the scene, but Wooldridge said police are still investigating who used a gun and what led to the shooting. No other information, including the names of the victims, was available.
