Man, 56, in critical condition after being struck by vehicle in West Valley
WEST VALLEY CITY, Utah — A 56-year-old man is in critical condition after he was hit by a vehicle while crossing Redwood Rd. Saturday night.
It happened around 7:40 p.m. at 3865 S Redwood Rd. in West Valley City.
According to West Valley City Police, the pedestrian was not using a crosswalk or crossing at an intersection when he was struck by a vehicle traveling north.
Officers found the victim unconscious and barely breathing. The driver whose vehicle struck the man remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigation, police said.
