UHP troopers gather donations for Utah Food Bank
Millcreek, Utah — Utah Highway Patrol troopers were lending a helping hand to families in need.
Throughout the morning, UHP had a vehicle stationed outside the Smith’s at 845 E. 4500 South in Millcreek, with a trooper at the ready to accept donations for the Utah Food Bank.
“This is our second annual Fill the Hive Food Drive for the Utah Food Bank,” according to a UHP statement. “Last year we were able to raise just under 5,000 pounds of food, and it looks like this year we might pass it!”
While the UHP vehicle is gone from the Smith’s parking lot, food donations can still be dropped off at the agency’s Murray office at 5681 S. 320 West 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
During business hours, the headquarters at 4501 S. 2700 West also accepts donations.
The Fill the Hive Food Drive is continuing through Dec. 16.
