Avalanche reported near Park City
Salt Lake City, Utah — As danger ratings were high for the entire state, on Saturday, the Utah Avalanche Center reported a large avalanche near Park City.
Avalanche risks were high for Logan, Ogden, Uintas, Salt Lake, Provo, Skyline, Moab, and Southwest mountains.
The Abajos in southeast Utah was at considerable levels.
A large event was reported late Saturday morning at Scott’s Hill along with Park City ridgeline.
“With beautiful sunny skies and so much fresh powder, today is ripe for accidents,” according to UAC’s forecast. “Please don’t let all the beautiful powder lure you into forgetting about the dangers lurking beneath. Stay far away from north-facing terrain where avalanches are likely.”
