Utah, the least gambling-addicted state in the nation
Salt Lake City, Utah — Utah is the least gambling-addicted state in the nation, according to the website WalletHub.
According to WalletHub, every state has gambling, including Utah and Hawaii where it is prohibited by law.
Even though online is gambling illegal in Utah, there’s no way to cut off 100% access to online casinos or betting on live sports events.
WalletHub ranked Nevada, South Dakota, Montana, Mississippi, and Oklahoma as the most gambling-addicted states.
According to WalletHub, gambling disorders affected up to 3% of all adults in the U.S. It could be getting worse after lockdown during the early days of the pandemic.
WalletHub compared the 50 states to determine where excessive gambling is most prevalent.
