Amber Alert canceled for boy abducted in Salt Lake City
SALT LAKE CITY — An Amber Alert has been canceled for a 6-year-old boy who was abducted in Salt Lake City.
The alert said Tru Nakhawit was abducted at 1259 West Iola Avenue. A Salt Lake City dispatcher confirmed Tru is safe and the suspect, 35-year-old Julian Ulibarri, is in police custody.
Ulibarri had been driving a gold 1997 Toyota Camry with the rear passenger side bumper missing. Investigators located the car near 530 E 3500 S in South Salt Lake.
Police also took a woman into custody at the scene. It’s unclear what her connection to the kidnapping may have been.
