Barricaded suspect firing shots at SWAT team in Taylorsville

(UPDATE 7:43 p.m.) — Police say the scene is still active and that they have had several negotiations with the suspect, but he remains barricaded inside of a home at 3539 Baringwood Circle.

Police say it is not safe for people in the area to come outside of their homes, as the suspect has been shooting at police.

The domestic violence situation is between a father and son.

The father was taken to the hospital for injuries, but no one, including police, have been shot.

All UPD precincts are on scene along with West Valley City police and Unified Fire.

(KUTV) — A barricaded suspect has been firing shots at a police SWAT team in Taylorsville, according to the Unified Police Department.

Police say this stems from a domestic violence incident and the scene is active.

Media is staging near 5350 S. Queenswood Dr.
