Couple visiting Utah finds missing engagement ring following search with Park City Ski Patrol
Park City, Utah — It turns out that what one couple believed would be a romantic engagement photoshoot in Park City turned out to be a holiday story that they would never forget.
Kim and Phil, who were in town from California, had recently announced their engagement to one another. Furthermore, just like every other significant event, the pair required photographs.
During the course of the shoot, their photographer requested that they strike a variety of postures, one of which had Kim placing her hand on Phil during the shot. While the couple was striking a pose, their photographer realized that Kim’s engagement ring was missing from the picture.
According to Phil Mui, who is 34 years old, “Ten minutes into the shoot, we lose the ring.” When we hear that, our hearts begin to sink, and we begin to panic a little bit.
They looked for the ring that had been lost for a considerable amount of time. A group of people who were just passing by came to assist the couple. In addition, the Park City Ski Patrol participated in the search endeavor by bringing a metal detector with them.
Even now, there is no trace of their gleaming gold band.
“We thought it would take only a few minutes to find it because we were in such a small area and so many people were helping us look for it,” Mui said. “However, it ended up taking us two hours to find it.”
To add insult to injury, just as they were beginning to give up hope, there it was. Atop the snow-covered grass, Phil discovered the ring, which was shining brightly.
“The ski patrol even told us, ‘Uh oh, you might have to wait until Spring to find this one,” Kim Zaw, who is 33 years old, stated while smiling.
Then, Phil got down on one knee and made another proposal to his girlfriend.
At the moment Phil said, ‘I found it!’ Zaw expressed his excitement by saying, “I was jumping up and down, and I just started crying because I was so excited over the fact that we found it.”
The pair discovered more than just their ring on that day; they also built a story that they would continue to tell for the rest of their lives.
