Lightning-caused fire near the Iron-Washington County line
Salt Lake City, Utah – On Friday, a wildfire broke out 40 miles west of Cedar City — near the Iron-Washington County line.
According to the Division of Forestry, Fire, and State Lands, some residents were put on pre-evacuation notice after a wildfire caused by lightning already burned an estimated 10,000 acres between Enterprise and Beryl, Utah.
Ground and aircrews were dispatched to try and get control of the fire.
State fire officials reported evacuations had been ordered west of Enterprise.
