Salt Lake City, Utah – Snow leopard cubs are the newest additions to the population at Utah’s Hogle Zoo.

In September, there will be snow! The zoo announced on social media. “Be ready for floof with a side order of cuteness.”

According to zoo officials, Pavlova, a female, and Bhutan, a male, have started investigating their outdoor home in the “Asian Highlands” section. According to reports, the new kitties have already undergone three veterinarian examinations and had the opportunity to spend some time together behind the scenes.

According to the zoo, the time spent is crucial for them to bond with their care team and with one another. However, they’re adjusting to their new environment now! Additionally, if you visit the zoo, you might be able to catch a glimpse of these exquisite creatures.

But remember, they’re still getting used to it, and they have access to indoor areas where they can decide to stay once they feel at ease.

According to the World Wildlife Fund, snow leopards have adapted to survive in some of the most extreme environments on Earth. Their enormous black rosettes scattered throughout their thick, white-gray coat help them blend in with Asia’s stony, steep mountains. They are sometimes referred to as the “ghost of the mountains” because of their amazing ability to blend in.

According to reports, the mountainous regions of Afghanistan, Bhutan, China, India, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyz Republic, Mongolia, Nepal, Pakistan, Russia, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan comprise the habitat range of the snow leopard. According to the WWF, they have now emerged as a significant indicator of climate change in alpine areas.

According to the WWF website, “many other species and the planet’s largest freshwater reservoirs will thrive if snow leopards do.”
