Police look for vehicle that fled after shots fired near school
Multiple shots were fired in the area of 5300 W. 2700 South in West Valley City Thursday morning.
According to police, no one was injured.
Schools in the area were locked down for a short time as a precaution, including Neil Armstrong Academy.
The suspects fled the area around 9:30 a.m., police said.
UPDATE (6:30 p.m.) — Two people were arrested in connection with this incident, West Valley Police said. They located a gun and “evidence of drug distribution” during a related search, according to a tweet.
Police are now looking for a silver vehicle that fled the area at approximately 9:30 a.m.
