Racial slurs discovered both inside and outside of Salt Lake City High School
Salt Lake City, Utah – Officials issued a zero-tolerance statement after racial insults were discovered scribbled both inside and outside a high school in Salt Lake City on Friday.
Before the identical slur was discovered on a car in the parking lot, it was discovered inscribed in a restroom stall at Skyline High School.
It’s unclear if the taunts were directed at a specific youngster or a group of students.
“Hate will not be tolerated at Skyline High School,” the Granite School District wrote in a statement to parents, adding that anybody who engages in activities that “bring hate” to the school faces “school, district and/or criminal consequences.”
The district also mentioned the rise in destructive and hateful conduct at the school in recent years.
“To be clear, hate will not be tolerated at Skyline High School,” the letter from the district stated. “This includes the language we use at school.”
Information on the incidents will be rewarded to those who share it.
