UPDATE: West Valley crash victim in critical condition
WEST VALLEY CITY, Utah — A pedestrian was critically injured after being hit by a vehicle Wednesday night, according to Lt. Jorgensen from the West Valley City Police Department.
While officers would not outright say the auto-pedestrian accident was deadly, Lt. Jorgensen tells ABC4 the accident was being “coded as fatal.”
Hours later, Roxanne Vainuku with West Valley City Police Department reached out to ABC4 with a development regarding the victim’s status, explaining the crash is not being considered fatal.
“The doctors did not expect the victim to survive, but he has survived,” Vainuku updated. “He is in critical condition.”
