Utah food truck white spray-painted with hate messages, owners asking for support
Salt Lake City, Utah – According to officials over the weekend the Utah Filipino food truck was vandalized. The truck was white spray-painted with hate messages and drawn faces.
The World Famous Yum Yum Food Truck took to social media and posted pictures of the alleged vandalism.
The truck owners say, this incident will not stop them from sharing their culture.
“Thank you for everyone who has reached out to us, all the love is truly overwhelming,” the owners said.
Yum Yum’s owners asked for everyone to show their support by coming to Utah’s Philippines Independence Day Celebration this coming Saturday, June 12.
The celebration, put on by the National Federation of Filipino American Association and the Filipino-American Chamber of Commerce of Utah, will be taking place at the International Peace Gardens at Jordan Park in Salt Lake City.
Attendance is free of charge for everyone.
