Utah Reports 4 New Deaths, 407 New COVID-19 Cases, 118 Current Hospitalizations
SALT LAKE CITY, Utah – The Utah Department of Health on Wednesday reported four new deaths and 407 new COVID-19 cases.
The rolling seven-day average for positive tests is 376 per day, and the rolling seven-day average for percent of positive laboratory tests is 8.6%. The state has tested 637,329 people so far, and 50,174 of those tests returned positive.
A total of 401 Utahns have died from the virus. The following deaths were reported Wednesday:
- Male, between 25 and 44, Davis County resident, unknown if individual was hospitalized or resident of a long-term care facility
- Male, between 60 and 84, Salt Lake County resident, resident of a long-term care facility
- Male, between 45 and 64, Utah County resident, resident of a long-term care facility
- Male, older than 85, Wasatch County resident, resident of a long-term care facility
The state is considering 41,937 cases as recovered, meaning those patients received a positive diagnosis more than three weeks ago and they have not died.
