Utah sets record with 1,960 new COVID-19 cases; 4 new deaths
SALT LAKE CITY — The Utah Department of Health reported a state record with 1,960 new COVID-19 cases in the state Friday and 4 new deaths.
1,012,740 Utahns have been tested for COVID-19 since the pandemic began.
The state’s rolling seven-day average for positive tests currently stands at 1,355 per day, with a rolling seven-day average of 15.8% percent positive tests.
A total of 567 people have died of the disease. Here are the latest deaths reported in Utah:
- · Male, between 45-64, Davis County resident, hospitalized
- · Male, older than 85, Washington County resident, long-term care facility resident
- · Male, between 65-84, Salt Lake County resident, hospitalized
- · Male, between 45-64,Salt Lake County resident, hospitalized
There are currently 313 people hospitalized in Utah with the virus.
