Woman, 33, dies in crash in western Salt Lake County
MAGNA — A 33-year-old woman died late Friday night after a crash on state Route 201, troopers said.
About 10:35 p.m., the woman, whose name has not been released, was driving north on 7200 West in Magna in a Hyundai when she ran a red light in an intersection, said Utah Highway Patrol Cpl. Andrew Battenfield.
The Hyundai was then T-boned by a pickup truck traveling east on S.R. 201, Battenfield said.
The woman driving the Hyundai died. Battenfield said she was not wearing a seat belt at the time.
The pickup driver and a passenger drove themselves to a hospital for minor injuries, according to Battenfield.
The crash remains under investigation.
