Four arrested after suspected fraud leads to police chase through WVC, SLC
WEST VALLEY CITY, Utah — Four people were arrested Sunday after police say they were involved in fraud at a payday loan business in West Valley City, three of them fleeing the scene and leading police on a chase.
West Valley City Police responded to Check City at 3514 W. 3500 South, where Deryk Adams was arrested.
Three others fled in a blue car, hitting two police cars in the process. Police pursued the vehicle for about 15 minutes, and the chase ended around 600 East and 1500 South in Salt Lake City, and the suspects then fled on foot before being apprehended.
Brandon Wyatt, the driver, and Trevor Simmons were arrested for parole violation, and Andrea Smith was arrested on warrant for robbery.
