Body of Utah man located in Flaming Gorge Reservoir
Daggett County, Utah – According to the Daggett County Sheriff’s Office, the body of a man that was presumed drowned in Flaming Gorge Reservoir has been recovered.
Search crews found the man’s body in approximately 153 feet of water using a remotely operated vehicle that can dive deeper than human divers are able to, Sheriff Erik Bailey said. The search tool belongs to Utah State Parks.
Five teams were using the underwater vehicle when the discovery was made at approximately 11 p.m. Saturday.
The man was boating near friends near Horseshoe Canyon in the reservoir on the Utah side. Much of the body of water is in southern Wyoming fed by the Green River with recreation areas located in northeast Utah.

In order to determine the cause of death, the body will head to Utah’s medical examiner.
