In scorching August, Oktoberfest in Snowbird delivers chill sensations
Salt Lake City, Utah – Although it may still feel like August down below, the temperature at 11,000 feet is starting to feel more like fall, which is a period of celebration.
Saturday marks the beginning of Oktoberfest at the Little Cottonwood Canyon resort, which is a Wasatch Mountain tradition that has been around for almost as long as Snowbird itself.
Sarah Sherman, who serves as the spokesperson, is set to begin her fifth winter residing at Snowbird. Furthermore, she is well aware of her destination when the time comes for Oktoberfest.
“Of course, the bratwurst is my favorite, but the pretzel happens to be my favorite as well,” Sherman added.
In light of the fact that the event is continuing to expand both in terms of its services and its footprint, Sherman stated that some of the new additions have caused things to shift about. Those individuals who have been attending the festival year after year ever since it was first held in 1972 are able to continue the traditions.
You will see them dressed in all of their attire. According to Sheman, a large number of people will be seen wearing their lederhosen, and he added that such behavior is not discouraged. It is time to put them on and put them on. Participate in the activity and have a nice time.
Should it not be enough to make you feel like you’re in Bavaria, the tables in the band hall are imported from Germany.
It’s not just that we’re trying to recreate Oktoberfest; it’s also that you’re sitting on a table that was there when the festival was actually held. According to Sherman, “We are really paying homage to that and creating an experience here in Utah that gives the impression that you could be anywhere in Europe.”
The beers are guaranteed to be everyone’s go-to choice when it comes to Oktoberfest. Those idiots. A polka dance.
I especially enjoy the live music that is performed on the hill, as well as the opportunity to get a beer, some chocolate, and a dipped waffle, and then to relax on the grass with my friends while listening to the music and taking it all in. It’s my top top pick.
Starting now and continuing until October 13, the party is available to people of all ages on weekends and on Labor Day.
