Ogden, Utah – For more than ten years, Hagen Wintle has known Bridger and Skyler Granath. Hagen remarked, “They always wanted to be outside doing something in nature, so they’re out fishing on the river.” Whether it’s fishing, skiing, skating, or hunting. They are mostly responsible for practically all of my outdoor knowledge.

Skyler, 24, died and Bridger was taken to the hospital when lightning struck the fishing boat the brothers were aboard late on Saturday night when they were on the Bear River.

Regarding Bridger’s friendship with his brother, Wintle remarked, “That’s his best friend.” “He was willing to go to any lengths for him.”

Hagen is unable to comprehend the pain Bridger is going through following his brother’s death.

“I’ve been in and out of the hospital for the past few days, doing my best to just put a smile on his face and keep him company and uplifted a little bit,” he said. “These days, though, it’s quite difficult.”

For over six years, Bridger was employed at Tony’s Pizza in Ogden, where he considered the staff to be his second family.

Abraham Fraijo, the restaurant’s manager, remarked, “They’re always the first ones to help out with no hesitation when it comes to anything.”

Tony’s is currently supporting the families of both guys because Skylar left behind a wife, a two-year-old, and an expectant child.

Fraijo continued, “I was just lost, confused as to why it happened, but I suppose things happen for a reason.”

Tony’s will be selling pulled pork sandwiches on Sunday at noon for $5 per, with all proceeds going to the Granath family.
