The Salt Lake Tribune reports two groups organized the “Rally for a People’s Agenda” event, with a march possible. The rally hopes to inspire those who take part to demand the end of deportation, economic relief for those affected by the pandemic and “community control of the police.”
Speakers at the rally reportedly include those from the Party of Socialism and Liberation, the Salt Lake Equal Rights Movement and the Freedom Road Socialist Organization.
If a march is held, organizers say they will not release the route as to avoid any confrontations with counterprotesters.
