Two inches of hail on the streets of Delta after the storm
Delta, Utah — On Thursday after hundreds suffered from widespread flooding in Delta, residents witnessed a different sort of storm.
The hail came down so fast around the city, it amassed to over two inches thick along streets and neighborhood yards, and photos were taken during the storm looked more like a winter scene than one from mid-August.
After the first day of school, Delta High School was temporarily placed on lockdown due to the storm.
No injuries have been reported due to the hail.
During Tuesday night’s severe weather, many of Delta’s 3,600 homes were flooded, and many were left without power.
