Clinton, Utah – Two sisters who attend Clinton Elementary School will always remember the final day before winter break.

“It feels overwhelming to be back at home with my family after being away from them for too long.” Reuniting is difficult to convey,” U.S. Army Private First Class Roberto Lassalle remarked.

Lassalle stunned his 5-year-old daughter Adellys and 10-year-old daughter Daimareliz by showing up at the school after a ten-month absence.

They were unaware that he would spend Christmas at home.

“I find it difficult to express how happy I am to be back together and reunited. Lassalle remarked, “I want to be able to hug them and tell them that I love them.”

After Lassalle’s wife, Daileen surprised their 4-year-old son Deaven when they picked him up at the airport, she planned the unexpected reunion.

The children all believed that their father would not be home for Christmas and would not return until February.

It wasn’t easy, but for two months the pair didn’t tell anyone that he had been given a two-week vacation.

“The past two weeks have been extremely difficult. We almost mention it every time we speak with them,” Lassalle remarked.

Lassalle has more than five years left on his contract with the U.S. Army, and he is now stationed at Fort Eisenhower in Augusta, Georgia.

He intends to make the most of this one since he is aware that he will probably miss some holidays during that time.

Lassalle remarked, “I understand that I won’t be able to be with my family on every special occasion.” “My family and I will make the most of every moment and spend as much time as we can.”
