Governor Spencer Cox orders lowering of flags in honor of National Peace Officer’s memorial service
Utah – Governor Cox has ordered the lowering of the American flag as well as the Utah State flag on Friday through Saturday.
This comes in honor of the National Peace Officers’ Memorial Service.
The service is being held in Washington D.C. as a way to pay respect to law enforcement officers who have died in the line of duty.
Flags should be lowered to half-staff at midnight on Oct. 16.
According to The Governor, private citizens and businesses are encouraged to participate as well.
