Here’s how to enter to win a TV or concert ticket if you donate blood this week
Salt Lake City, Utah – From July 1 through July 5, blood donations made through ARUP Blood Services will be eligible to win a variety of incentives.
As per a press release, one winner will be named every day of the week and the prizes include an Apple Watch, a $200 Visa gift card, a 55-inch smart TV, a Ninja Creami, and a “retro record player.”
By means of ARUP, Utahans who give platelets for the first time in July will be eligible to win tickets to concerts.
“Platelets only last five days at the hospital and we are always looking for new and dedicated platelet donors,” Deb Jordan of ARUP Blood Services said.
According to a press release, first-time platelet donors will have the chance to win concert tickets for Neil Young, The Doobie Brothers, Def Leppard, Rob Zombie, Lainey Wilson, ZZ Top, and Lynrd Skynyrd.
“Our annual ‘Rock & Roll Up Your Sleeve’ promotion is a great way for new platelet donors to save lives and help cancer patients at the Huntsman Cancer Institute,” Jordan said.
According to ARUP, because people may be traveling and schools are not in session during the summer, donations frequently decline. Additionally, the group reported that local hospital need is exceeding donations.
“Donors are strongly urged to give now to help ensure lifesaving blood products are available for patients,” ARUP said.
According to ARUP Blood Services, all of the donations of blood and platelets it receives remain in Utah.
You can contact 801-584-5272 or visit UtahBlood.org to make an appointment. ARUP added that walk-in appointments are welcome.
Open seven days a week, ARUP Blood Services offers two donor centers: one in Sandy and one in Salt Lake City.
565 Komas Dr., Salt Lake City, UT 84108 is the address of the donation center in Salt Lake City. 9786 Sandy Parkway (500 West), Sandy, UT 84070 is the address of the Sandy site.
