Man, 84, found dead at West Valley golf course

WEST VALLEY CITY, Utah — A man was found dead at a West Valley City golf course Wednesday several hours after leaving to take his dogs for a walk.
According to West Valley City Police, the body of 84-year-old Richard Porath was found in a lake on a golf course near 4255 Lake Park Blvd.
Police discovered Porath’s body after someone called dispatch to report two stray dogs at a nearby business around 6:30.
Porath’s wife told police that Porath had taken the dogs for a walk around six hours earlier.
Police said foul play is not suspected and the death appears to be a tragic accident.
