A West Valley City, Utah man is in jail after police say he shot and killed his friend during an argument in his motorhome early Tuesday morning, according to the West Valley City Police Department.

At approximately 12:45 a.m., police responded to the shooting at a motorhome parked outside of a home near 1500 W. Claybourne Avenue.

Police say 58-year-old Glen Hogue told them he shot and killed his friend, 60-year-old Troy Frampton after the pair had an argument in the motorhome. Hogue told police they both had been drinking alcohol.

That argument turned physical and Hogue told police Frampton attacked him and that he shot him in self defense. Frampton died on the scene.

After investigating through the night, police say the evidence does not support Hogue’s claim of self defense.

Hogue was arrested and is facing homicide-related charges.
