Police locate missing 12-year-old in West Valley (updated)
UPDATE (6 p.m. Monday) — Saul Mendiola has been located, according to West Valley City Police.

Police in West Valley are searching for a 12-year-old child who’s missing and considered at risk.
Saul Mendiola left his home in the area of 3800 South 6600 West on Monday morning and has not returned as of Monday evening, police said.
Mendiola is described as 4 feet 11 inches tall and 130 pounds with black, curly hair. They were last seen wearing a black sweatshirt with white squares on it and carrying a black backpack with a green stripe.
Anyone with information about Mendiola’s whereabouts should call dispatch at 801-840-4000.
