Salt Lake SAR team rescued hikers in Ferguson Canyon
Salt Lake County, Utah — A pair of stranded hikers were rescued by the Salt Lake County Search and Rescue team.
Around 10 a.m. Sunday, the hikers started up Ferguson Canyon.
They had planned to summit the mountain but got stuck below the Houndstooth.
Unfortunately, one of the hikers lost a shoe in a snowfield and was unable to recover it, so at that point, they called 911.
According to the SAR team, three of them were deployed from the Ferguson trailhead around 3:45 p.m. with new footwear, warm clothing, food, and water.
By 5:45 p.m., all members were off the mountain safely.
