Utah National Guard gets new, top-of-the-line Apache helicopters
West Jordan, Utah – The Utah National Guard has proudly served the state since 1894, tracing its origins back to the Minutemen of the 17th-century American colonies.
This weekend, they experienced a significant enhancement with the arrival of the Army’s cutting-edge attack helicopter.
“These aircraft are extremely fast compared to our other aircraft,” said Col. Patrick.
On Saturday, the Utah National Guard showcased their new Apache helicopters in an impressive demonstration.
The flight exceeded our expectations. “There was a bit of weather on the East Coast, but after that, it turned out to be quite pleasant,” Patrick remarked.
Early Saturday morning marked the arrival of the first four out of 24 Apaches, following a thorough inspection process.
“The software they offer feels just like diving into a video game.” Experience the thrill of soaring through the skies in this video game, where the airplane glides effortlessly with speed and precision. Enjoy the seamless flight as it maintains altitude and airspeed, allowing you to focus on the adventure ahead. It’s pretty good,” Patrick said.
Utah welcomed its first Apache helicopters in 1992.
“It carries forward the rich tradition of the air pirates and highlights our contributions not just to Utah, but to the worldwide battle for security,” Patrick emphasized.
The colonel describes it as a significant advancement.
“Today marks a significant milestone for Utah as we move forward into the coming decades of combat operations and our contributions to global security.”
