Injured mountain biker rescued near Cedar City
Cedar City, Utah – After getting hurt on a trail Saturday morning near Cedar City, a mountain biker needed help.
Crews received a call from a biker who had a broken collarbone and “other injuries” at the Boulder Dash Trail, according to Iron County Search & Rescue.
Crews dispatched and found the biker walking 100 yards down the trail.
The biker was assessed, stabilized, and transported to a local hospital.
According to Iron County Search & Rescue, if you are injured on a trail and call rescue crews, stay near where you called.
Dispatchers lock the GPS of the call and send it to rescue crews so they can find you.
Crews will have difficulty finding you and providing assistance if you move from the original call area.
