Jacob Fire grows, zero containment at this point
Tooele County, Utah — According to Utah Fire Info, firefighters expected the weather to be “more favorable” as they fight several wildfires.
Early Sunday, the Jacob City fire was estimated to be 4,000 acres. Firefighters say there is still zero containment at this point.
On Saturday night, there were evacuations underway in Middle Canyon.
Utah Fire Info did not provide an update on those evacuations in the Sunday morning update.
According to the Tooele County Health Department, the fire is causing air quality to be poor. It advised residents with respiratory issues to stay indoors and close their windows Sunday.
More resources have been ordered to help with the fire.
