Salt Lake food trucks banding together to help unsheltered get the food they need

Salt Lake City, Utah – The owner and operator of the Bomb Dilla food truck, Ruben Sauyun, is joining up with other food truckers to feed the homeless in the Salt Lake region as a way of giving back.
“To accomplish this, I will donate to five shelters this year.” We added one this year after doing four last year, and we’re grateful for the chance to simply give back,” Ruben said.
According to Ruben, he and a number of his other food truck owners consider themselves extremely fortunate to have had the community’s support throughout the years. For the third year in a row, they wish to give back by setting aside a day to serve hot meals to those without shelter. Give the people who labor at those shelters every day a little respite at the same time.
A half dozen food trucks have been delivering hundreds of meals to individuals at four shelters around Thanksgiving for the past two years. This year, they added another shelter and advanced the date to November 4th, which is Monday of next week. Additionally, they’re collecting warm clothes and other supplies this year for people without shelter in case the weather turns chilly. Over the coming days, those can be given to the food trucks.
According to Ruben, share it if you can spare it. We essentially want to know if anyone in the public may donate any old coats or sweaters that they aren’t using. Please drop off a bag of items that you aren’t using that might be useful to someone else if you happen to see one of the eight food trucks in Salt Lake City this week.
At least seven additional trucks, including Yoshi’s and Cluck Truck, will be participating in addition to Bomb Dilla. Additionally, according to Ruben, they will be serving at least 1300 hot meals that day.
Please feel free to drop off any warm weather products, such as hand warmers, to the participating food trucks between now and this weekend. Next Monday, they will be given out along with those hot meals. This is a list of the food trucks that are taking part.
